Ibiza can be expensive, but a good day does not need a long list of purchases. Mix simple island experiences with one paid activity you have chosen carefully.
1. Walk the old town
Explore Ibiza Town's harbour and the streets of Dalt Vila at your own pace. Bring water and comfortable shoes. Individual museums or attractions may have separate admission charges, so check before entering.
2. Make sunset the main event
Choose a public west-coast viewpoint or beach, arrive with time to spare and enjoy the light changing. You do not need a restaurant reservation to appreciate the sky. Respect access restrictions and stay away from cliff edges.
3. Plan a simple beach day
Take your own towel, sun protection and refreshments where permitted. Public beach access does not mean parking, transport, sunbeds or food are free. Compare the whole journey before choosing a remote spot.
4. Explore one village slowly
A walk through Santa Gertrudis, Sant Carles or another village can give the day a different pace. Browse without feeling obliged to buy, choose a meal within your budget and check return transport.
5. Compare one sea experience
A boat ticket is a paid choice, not a free activity. Compare the current total price and inclusions with the alternatives you would otherwise buy. Pick the experience you want rather than assuming every all-inclusive package is identical.
Before you go
- Set a daily spending limit before leaving your accommodation.
- Use current public-transport information.
- Keep paid upgrades optional and read what is included.
