A cove looks different from the water. The approach reveals the shape of the coast before the beach comes into view. These four west-coast places are ideas for exploring Ibiza, not a promised Oceanbeat route.
Platges de Comte
Look out towards the small offshore islands and notice how the water changes colour over the seabed. This is a popular coastline, so a quieter visit depends on season, time and conditions.
Cala Bassa
Pine trees and a sheltered-looking bay give Cala Bassa a different feel from the more open coastline. Beaches that appear calm can still have changing conditions. Follow local guidance before entering the water.
Cala Salada
The surrounding hills and rocky shore are part of the attraction. Check current land-access arrangements if visiting by road; a boat visit also depends on the operator's approved route.
Cala Saladeta
The smaller neighbouring beach is often photographed for its sand and clear water. Treat access paths and natural areas carefully and do not assume a busy beach can accommodate every group.
Before booking a cove cruise
Ask which coastline is scheduled, whether guests go ashore, what happens if conditions change and where the boat returns. A party cruise, ferry and sightseeing excursion serve different purposes.
Before you go
- Confirm the itinerary instead of choosing from photographs alone.
- Carry water and protect yourself from the sun.
- Respect protected seabeds, shore access and crew instructions.
